Below is a summary of the work to be performed: The ILO Actuarial Services Unit seeks a Senior Project Actuary to lead the first phase of the actuarial valuation of Ethiopia's Public Servants' (PSSSA) and Private Organization Employees' (POESSA) pension schemes as of 7 July 2025. The assignment covers preparing the data request and validating the data; developing general demographic and macroeconomic assumptions and the corresponding projections; and analysing scheme experience since the 2020 valuation, including reconciliation of contributions, benefits and reserves. Deliverables are the data request, the assumptions as well as general demographic and macro-economic projections chapter, and the experience review and reconciliation chapter. A one-week technical mission to Addis Ababa is envisaged. The work runs from data request to delivery of the experience review and reconciliation chapter.
