Overview: The United Nations (UN) intends to issue an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the provision of UN Metal Hat Badges, under a long-term contract for an initial period of three (3) years, with the option to extend the contract for two additional periods of one (1) year each, at the sole discretion of the UN. The United Nations Metal Hat Badge is intended to be worn on the standard United Nations blue beret primary by a miltary or police contingents deployed with the United Nations in peacekeeping operations and special political missions worldwide. The resulting systems contract will require the provision of the item on an 'as required basis': Supliers for this requirement must be either the manufacturer or an authorized trader/re-seller of metal hat badges and they should have at minimum 3 (three) years experience. Companies that wish to participate in the upcoming tender are requested to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) as per below instructions, and to duly register in the United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org). Vendors are advised that this EOI does not constitute a solicitation. The UN reserves the right to change or cancel this requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process.
