The United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) intends to engage with a well-established, fully qualified, and licensed contractor with local and regional experience to conduct responsible collection and disposal by sale of Scrap Metal generated by the Mission at UNTSO Headquarters, Jerusalem 2.3 Through its day-to-day activities, UNTSO generates a considerable quantity of ferrous and nonferrous Scrap Metal, approximately 10 tons or 10,000kg during a 12-month period. This includes, but not limited to: • Destroyed sea containers and prefabricated containers & their parts, • Disposed Vehicles, Armoured vehicles, and their parts, • Disposed Generators and their parts, • Metal Furniture and appliances, • Construction metal elements (frames, pipes, etc.), • Metal Drums. Taking into consideration the above, the Mission is seeking to establish a Contract for the purchase, collection, removal and appropriate disposal of Metal Scrap available for sale to the contractor on a “where is as is” basis, for an initial period of one (1) year, with a unilateral option for UNTSO to extend the contract on the same terms and conditions for three additional one-year periods, totalling a duration of four (4) years (1+1+1+1)
