The UNGSC requires a Contractor for the Provision of of Grease Traps in support of peacekeeping operations sites all over the world. DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUIREMENT: The United Nations Global Service Center (UNGSC) seeks an appropriately qualified vendor for a one-time purchase of grease interceptors, which may be airlifted and are to be installed at military and civilians' camps, observer sites, police stations, clinics and other locations and facilities that UN sees fit during its peacekeeping and humanitarian operations. The Grease Traps shall be a totally passive system used for the pre-treatment of greywater generated from kitchens before entering the sewage reticulation, shall consist of a tank manufactured from light durable materials, suitable for below-ground installation, already fitted with inlet/outlet/vent pipes and needing only a simple concrete pad or similar means, and fitting to be properly installed. The proposed product shall be light-weight, and for a typical 100 (one hundred) persons camp, ready for rapid installation and immediate operation. The product shall be complete with all accessories, factory assembled and come as standard equipment provided by a single manufacturer. The supplied equipment shall be agile yet robust/heavy duty appropriate for use in very remote areas and harsh environmental conditions with no or limited infrastructure and suitable for different climate zones (e.g., desert, tropical areas, mountain sites, etc.) in which there are several variations of the relative natural forces and extreme weather conditions (hot dry, hot humid, cold, heavy rains and snow, strong winds, severe winter or summer) with minimum vendor support. Delivery Terms: Delivery at Place - DAP UNGSC, Brindisi, ltaly, or FCA to Manufacturer’s nearest port of exit. The offered solution shall fulfill the requirements of the following international standards (or equivalent): ­ BS EN 1825-1 “Grease separators. Principles of design, performance, and testing, marking and quality control” ­ BS EN 1825-2 “Grease separators. Selection of nominal size, installation, operation, and maintenance”.
