Scope of work:Under the scope of this intervention, the successful firm is expected to conduct an Insurance Protection Gap Analysis and develop Natural Catastrophe Financing Options for the Maldives. The Insurance Protection Gap Analysis is expected to assess regulatory and market gaps, benchmark practices, model climate change impacts and suggest actionable recommendations for expanding insurance coverage in key sectors. The National Catastrophe Financing Model is expected to recommend actionable interventions for risk pooling, funding, and governance mechanisms to foster insurance market creation and enhance the Maldives’ ability to address the challenges of financing structural risks and large-scale disasters.The successful firm is expected to closely work with the national staff of Maldives Monetary Authority, and other project partners in carrying out the project scope to ensure the transfer of knowledge and skill of conducting similar exercises in the future.Please indicate whether you intend to submit a bid by creating a draft response without submitting directly in the system.
