The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations with more than 190 member countries. Since its inception, FAO has worked to improve nutrition, increase agricultural productivity, raise the standard of living in rural populations and contribute to global economic growth. Achieving food security for all is at the heart of FAO's efforts – to make sure people have regular access to enough high-quality food to lead active, healthy lives. In this regard, the FAO regional of Africa intends to identify and sign a concessionary contract with a professional company with requisite experience to support FAO personnel in Accra, Ghana, at no cost to FAO and at the cost to each individual customer, and subject to commercial viability without any minimum revenue guaranteed to the contractor. The Terms of Reference (TOR) describes the details of service required for the provision of canteen services on the FAO office premises, requirements for a professional cafeteria/restaurant contractor to provide and manage the preparation and service of food to FAO personnel and catering to FAO events when the need arises. Please refer to the attached request for proposal (RFP) document for detailed Information.
