SCOPE OF WORKSThe UNDP is seeking a qualified consultancy firm to support the Kiribati LDCF WOIA Project, which aims to enhance climate change adaptation and disaster risk management across five project islands in Kiribati. The scope includes reviewing and recommending legal revisions to the CCDRM Act and related sectoral frameworks, conducting comprehensive coastal hazard risk assessments, developing and implementing shoreline protection and climate-proofing measures, performing water resources and drought planning analyses, assessing climate-resilient agriculture practices, and leading the development of communication, knowledge management, and GEDSI (Gender Equity, Disability, and Social Inclusion) strategies. The consultancy will also be responsible for establishing and monitoring the Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) and Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM), with all activities designed to build local capacity and resilience to climate change and disasters.
