The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is for WHO to enter into a contractual agreement with a successful bidder and select a suitable contractor to carry out the works as highlighted in the bill of quantities for renovation of the surgical wards ,medical wards , children wards toilet and bathrooms (Male and female), including kitchen , entrance doors and construction of a cleaning materials storage cubicle as per detailed description of works in appendix 1 : Bill of quantities. WHO is an Organization that is dependent on the budgetary and extra-budgetary contributions it receives for the implementation of its activities. Bidders are, therefore, requested to propose the best and most cost-effective solution to meet WHO requirements, while ensuring a high level of service. WHO Vanuatu office provides technical support to the country's health sector. The WHO Representative Office in the South Pacific in Suva, Fiji provides tailored technical support to 21 Pacific island countries and areas (PICs), including Vanuatu. WHO supports Vanuatu via the Country Liaison Office, based in Port Vila. Its key objectives is to help the country achieve universal health coverage ,address non-communicable diseases and help build resilience to health threats .The office is also involved in responding to health emergencies and promoting mental health initiatives.
