Background The UNICEF Afghanistan Country Office, in collaboration with partners supports the delivery of primary healthcare services across Afghanistan, including the procurement and supply of essential medicines in line with WHO standards. Through the Basic Package of Health Services (BPHS) and the Essential Package of Services (EPHS), UNICEF supports more than 2,400 health facilities nationwide. As part of its strategic engagement with the pharmaceutical industry, UNICEF Afghanistan Country Office seeks to assess the local and regional market to better understand manufacturing capacity, product profiles, quality compliance, regulatory status, supply reliability, and distribution channels Objective of the RFI The RFI aims to collect information to assess market capacity, evaluate compliance, supply planning, and strengthen collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry. Eligibility Open to pharmaceutical manufacturers and authorized distributors capable of supplying essential medicines compliant with WHO/UNICEF standards. Submission Process Interested companies must complete the RFI form online (through the link), download and complete Annex-1 (the detailed product Excel sheet), and submit both documents to UNICEF online through KOBOTOOL.
