The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) provides centralized Telecommunications and Information Technology Services to the UN Peacekeeping and Political Missions, Commissions, Tribunals and Agencies worldwide through its two locations: • United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC), Brindisi, Italy • United Nations Information Communication Technology Facility (UNICTF), Valencia, Spain. The United Nations Information Communication Technology Facility (UNICTF) in Valencia requires the provision of a link/connectivity to the internet with 10 Gbps fully symmetric bandwidth capacity 24 hours per day, 365(6) days per year and a service level agreement that shall guarantee a minimum of 99.99% uptime each month. The connection shall be configured as an active redundant system to the existing connectivity at the UNGSC in Brindisi, Italy. The connection shall be single-mode fibre optic with a direct transparent connection to first-hop POP in the provider network so that the WAN down event is seen as interface down on UN terminating equipment. Any other type of wired or wireless connection will not be accepted. The connection shall be terminated at the UNICTF in Valencia, Spain. The Contractor shall provide all the equipment necessary for the installation of the circuit between the Provider network and the UN termination point. The vendor shall provide the network transceiver. The supplied ISP connectivity shall include a fully managed DDoS Protection service. Customer service shall be available on a 24/7/365 basis. The resulting Long-Term contract will be established for an initial period of two (2) years starting from the date of the link activation, with the UNGSC's sole option to extend the contract term for three (3) additional periods of one (1) year each (2+1+1+1).
