The overall objective of this assignment is to design and implement a comprehensive, rights-based awareness-raising campaign with the aim of enhancing the knowledge of migrant workers and host communities on international labour standards, migrants’ rights, and available protection mechanisms. The campaign is expected to promote informed decision-making, promote safe and dignified migration practices, and strengthen the institutional and community-level capacity to respond to the protection needs of migrant populations transiting through or residing in Bossaso, Puntland. Specific Objectives: Identify key stakeholders in Bossaso, including officials, community leaders, youth, and migrants, to guide outreach and engagement. Develop and produce awareness-raising materials in languages most spoken by migrant populations in Bossaso, primarily Amharic and where relevant, Arabic, alongside English for institutional visibility and Somali for host communities and service providers. All materials should be culturally appropriate, gender-sensitive, and easy to understand, using visuals where needed to ensure accessibility for low-literacy audiences. Organize community workshops and dialogues with migrant workers, host communities, women, youth, media, and local authorities to raise awareness. Support the MRC in Bossaso to continue awareness efforts by using campaign messages in their services and engaging local media. Track and document the campaign’s results through feedback, outreach data, and lessons learned to inform future activities.
