Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: • Prepare a data request for the actuarial valuation of the Employment Injury (EII) branch of the NIF. • Support data collection, validation of data and scheme provisions, preliminary analysis, actuarial guidance to NIB staff, and follow-up for additional data as needed. • Analyze EII experience since the last valuation (31 Dec 2022), comparing actuarial projections with realized results. • Peer review macroeconomic and demographic assumptions developed by the other senior actuary. • Complete statistical analysis of EII-specific data and establish projection assumptions. • Peer review projection assumptions for other NIF branches prepared by the other actuary. • Adapt ILO EII models to NIF characteristics, produce initial projections, validate and calibrate results. • Peer review model adjustments for other NIF branches. • For the EII branch, analyze reform options and policy considerations, calculate their impacts, and review other potential options for NIB. • Finalize projections, validate actuarial results, compile and analyze long-term financial projections, assess benefit adequacy, and produce consolidated actuarial balance sheets. • Draft EII report sections and peer review sections on other branches. • Submit draft report to NIB, incorporate comments, and finalize. • Peer review assumptions, model adjustments, projections, and report on unemployment insurance cost assessment.
