ITC seeks to contract training institutions, industry associations or private companies with a presence in Sierra Leone to implement digital skills training programmes to equip 3,000 Sierra Leonean youth with market-relevant technical and vocational skills. The SkYE Fund is a results-based competitive funding model whose objective is to train youth to meet existing job needs, or in the case of self-employment, successfully meet market opportunities. The Training programmes supported under the SkYE Fund must meet an identified skill shortage and lead to work or to the establishment of small viable businesses.
