Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: The consultant will update the GTAP-ILO employment dataset by harmonizing labour statistics from ILOSTAT with the 65 GTAP sectors for all countries/regions covered by the GTAP 12 database – with disaggregation by skills, sex, age and employment formality, using both headcount and full-time equivalent measures of employment. The assignment includes developing and implementing robust methodologies for identifying, handling, and imputing missing data, as well as validating the resulting estimates against relevant secondary data sources. The consultant will also review, update, and optimize the existing R scripts used for data processing and sector matching to improve efficiency, reproducibility, and transparency. In addition, the consultant will develop a data visualization tool to support quality assurance and validation of the processed data and prepare comprehensive technical documentation covering the data sources, processing workflow, harmonization methodology, imputation procedures, validation approach, and annotated source code to ensure the dataset and associated tools are fully reproducible, maintainable, and transferable to the ILO. If you are interested, please express interest and follow the instructions attached to consult the detailed terms of reference and other relevant information in the ILO e-sourcing platform. Please submit your proposal before the specified deadline. Thank you.
