PICAP will work with an Insurtech/Fintech company to develop a digital onboarding platform that will allow the deployment of CDRFI instruments in the PNG market. Through the digital platform created under this project, individuals and communities in PNG can subscribe to parametric insurance schemes and insure against natural catastrophes and disasters. This will improve preparedness and reduce losses, as well as better peace of mind knowing that individuals are protected to a certain degree should a major event occur. The digital onboarding platform should bring together Aggregator partners, Insurance providers, and Technology providers to facilitate seamless onboarding of beneficiaries to the parametric insurance product. Developing the digital platform should enable all aggregator partners to have a more advanced system that will provide a better structure for their members information. Through this RFP, UNCDF-PICAP aims to address the challenges of lack of access to climate disaster risk financing tools, lack of specialized digital systems to adequately capture and effectively track details of members and customers in PNG and most importantly focus on improving digital innovation in the Pacific to assist in recovery after natural hazards occur.Interested suppliers must submit their offer directly in the system as instructed in the solicitation document (titled Final RFP) through this link http://supplier.quantum.partneragencies.org. This will enable the system to send notifications in case of amendments of the tender requirements.
