The Child Labour Observatory is an online platform, currently under development, that responds to the requirement of the Durban Call to Action on the Elimination of Child Labour that the ILO “create and host a centralized information repository that collates relevant policies,plans, efforts and achievements of Member States in meeting their commitments to achieve SDG target 8.7.” The aim of this Excoll is to support the development of the Child Labour Observatory by leading the process of validating CLO country profiles, incorporating any amendments to them identified in the validation process, and providing overall quality control. In addition, the Excoll is intended to support the development of an AI Chatbot for the CLO, as well as to support the preparation of the launch of the CLO at the 6th Global Conference on the Elimination of Child Labour in the context of the ILO’s efforts to spotlight innovation in the fight against child labour at the Conference.
