A Firm to Provide Employability Skills Training and Mentorship Services

ProcureProcess - UNDP Others Non Governmental 2025-10-09 to 2025-10-14
Recruitment of a Consultancy Firm to provide Employability Skills Training and Mentorship Services to Fellows under the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP 2.0 Initiative) in NigeriaThe Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) is a flagship initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria, implemented in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and funded with support from the European Union (EU). It is designed to address systemic youth unemployment by connecting highly skilled graduates with work placement opportunities across public and private sectors in Nigeria. With a mission to enhance employability, nurture leadership potential, and stimulate inclusive economic participation, NJFP serves as a catalytic platform for youth empowerment and national development.A core pillar of the NJFP Upskilling and Knowledge Transfer is its Mentorship and Employability Development Track. This track provides structured guidance to Fellows through professional soft skills training, coaching, career advisory services, and exposure to sector-specific pathways. Recognizing the diverse socio-economic backgrounds of participants and the evolving nature of the job market, this component aims to strengthen the fellows’ workplace readiness and adaptability for long-term career progression.Building on the lessons from the programme, it became evident that many Fellows required deeper behavioral, cognitive, and attitudinal support to maximize the value of their placements. Challenges such as low retention, inadequate workplace soft skills, and limited engagement in self-driven learning revealed gaps in both the preparedness of Fellows and the support mechanisms available during their learning journey. To address these gaps, NJFP 2.0 introduces a more integrated, data-driven approach anchored in psychometric analysis to drive and inform the soft skilling component. This new layer complements mentorship and employability interventions by systematically assessing the underlying behavioral competencies of Fellows. Through this approach, NJFP is not only expanding access to work opportunities but also ensuring quality, personalized learning, and measurable transformation in the career trajectories of young Nigerians. The psychometric test analysis is more than a diagnostic instrument; it serves as a foundation for a tailored soft-skilling strategy- (employability skills, mentorship, and coaching), providing insight into each Fellow’s strengths, potential blind spots, and workplace personality traits. The results from the psychometric assessments will be used to:• Curate group sector-based mentor-mentee matching with greater alignment to personality, career, and professional goals.• Design coaching sessions that respond to actual needs, including soft skill enhancement, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving.• Establish personalized employability plans that build on the Fellow’s behavioral profile and sector-specific interests.• Monitor growth using dashboards that track improvements in key indicators such as workplace engagement, adaptability, and career progression.Through this integrated strategy, NJFP reinforces its commitment to delivering a holistic, inclusive, and future-ready workforce, aligned with national labour market priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The mentorship and employability programme is not only a service to the Fellow, but also a strategic national investment in Nigeria’s human capital development. To support this, UNDP seeks to engage a firm with demonstrated expertise to design and deliver mentorship programs tailored to Fellows’ professional tracks, recruit and deploy qualified mentors across diverse sectors, ensuring balanced gender representation and geographic coverage, provide structured mentorship support, including career guidance, skills coaching, soft skills, workplace readiness, and employability skills development, and document mentorship interactions and provide periodic reports on progress, challenges, and success stories. To understand how to navigate Quantum for submission of bids with please follow this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=om0AF0sRT-I Please indicate whether you intend to submit a bid by creating a draft response without submitting directly in the system.
