Country: Vietnam   Description of the Assignment: National consultant 2 to develop and pilot traceability systems for Non-timber forest products (NTFPs) to be applied in 4 iLandscape project areas (NC2) Period of assignment/services: June 2025 to October 2025 With the support from the EU, UNDP is implementing the “Integrated sustainable landscape management through deforestation-free jurisdiction project in Lam Dong and Dak Nong Viet Nam” project (iLandscape project) in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Dak Nong and Lam Dong provinces and international organisations including CIAT, EFI, IDH and UNEP. The project is to improve environmental sustainability and social inclusion and resilience of food production models and supply chains in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Specific objectives include:·     Enhance ecosystems, including reducing loss and degradation of natural forests, protecting biodiversity, restoring priority ecosystems, reducing GHG emissions·     Improve livelihoods, through inclusion of vulnerable groups including ethnic minorities and women in agriculture, forest-farming and ecotourism value chains ·     Sustain food production and improve quality, through improved farming practices, better organization of producers, and transparent and shortened supply chains.To address this need, UNDP is seeking 02 national consultants to develop and   pilot traceability systems for three Non-timber forest products (NTFPs) (Gnetum Gnemon (in Vietnamese: lá bép), Codonopsis pilosula (đẳng sâm) and Bambusa oldhamii (măng trúc)) at four project districts (Lam Dong: Lac Duong and Di Linh districts; Dak Nong: Dak R’lap and Dak G’long districts); the traceability systems should work for business operators’ level (covering raw material supply, manufacturing, delivery, and retail and inputs). This initiative will contribute to a more resilient and deforestation-free NTFPs production, benefiting farmers and stakeholders along the value chain.Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.Any request for clarification must be sent in writing via messaging functionality in the portal.
