UNFPA Nepal, in line with its commitment to strengthen the national mental health system, invites innovative proposals from qualified mental health providers with a demonstrated intent and mechanism to collaborate with relevant public sector entities. The context in Nepal highlights an increasing mental health challenge compounded by decades of previous conflict, political unpredictability, and deep-rooted social inequalities. We seek innovative Private-Public Partnership (PPP) models that can leverage the institutional strengths of the private sector to bridge the gaps in the public system, particularly concerning equity, access, quality, and coordination of mental and psychosocial support. This call is part of a Joint UN Mental Health Support Programme (2025-2028) funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), which aims to strengthen Nepal’s mental health system by expanding access to quality MHPSS services and improving coordination across public and private, and service providers, at national and sub-national level. The programme supports policy reform, capacity building, and service innovation at federal, provincial, and local levels. The geographic focus areas include Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Karnali Province, Lumbini Province, and Madhesh Province.
