The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations with more than 190 member countries. Since its inception, FAO has worked to improve nutrition, increase agricultural productivity, raise the standard of living in rural populations and contribute to global economic growth. Achieving food security for all is at the heart of FAO's efforts – to make sure people have regular access to enough high-quality food to lead active, healthy lives. As a component of its on-going Office Improvement Works, the FAO Regional Office for Africa wishes to roll out another phase of its refurbishment works. These works are mainly external works, focusing on the main entry into RAF, façade of Block (D), the mounting of flagpoles in front of Block (A) and enclosing some servers in one of the offices, to reduce noise to the office user’s whiles improving the security of these servers. It is in this context that FAO intends to secure the services of interested service providers to provide such services.
