BACKGROUND In response to the multiple overlapping crises in the Asia-Pacific region—including economic instability, humanitarian emergencies, and natural disasters such as the recent earthquake in Myanmar—the ILO Enhancement of the Human and Labour Rights of Workers from Vulnerable and Marginalized Groups under Unacceptable Forms of Work in Thailand (Enhance Rights) Project, funded by Japan, aims to strengthen the protection and realization of labour rights for vulnerable workers, particularly women, migrants, and children in Thailand. The project is seeking a printing service provider to produce standees (kakemono) to enhance project visibility and recognition among stakeholders and the public. With a focus on sectors linked to Japanese supply chains in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), the project promotes a human-centred, rights-based approach grounded in International Labour Standards and the ILO’s Decent Work Agenda. It supports compliance with national legislation, improved access to labour and social protection, strengthened social dialogue, and greater resilience in labour markets and supply chains. Implemented through a tripartite-plus approach involving the Ministry of Labour, ECOT, TLSC, and industrial associations, the project aims to empower female and marginalized workers as rights-holders and contribute to inclusive, sustainable, and resilient labour systems—thereby supporting the resilience of Japan–Thailand economic cooperation.
