Below is a summary of the work to be performed: A comprehensive review of Mauritius’s wage determination system will be undertaken, covering the national minimum wage, sectoral Remuneration Orders, collective bargaining and enterprise-level wage-setting practices. The review will assess the system’s legal, institutional, social and economic dimensions; examine institutional mandates and coordination; analyze wage distribution, wage relativities, coverage, compliance. Drawing from data analysis, relevant international experience and consultations with key stakeholders, the assignment will identify feasible reform options and develop an implementation roadmap with sequenced actions, institutional responsibilities, capacity-building requirements and monitoring arrangements.
