Country: Nepal Description of the Assignment: The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Nepal is currently implementing a project Strengthening Health resilience in Nepal-HIV, TB & Malaria (Global Fund) that requires the services of a National Consultant- Laboratory equipment specification, calibration and maintenance planning to perform the work described as per the attached Terms of Reference (ToR) – Annex 1. Objectives of the assignment Rational of TORMany critical HIV and TB laboratory instruments in Nepal remain uncalibrated, overdue for servicing, or non-functional, undermining diagnostic accuracy and service delivery. To address these gaps, a structured calibration and maintenance plan, aligned with national directives and verified technical specifications, is essential to ensure reliable operations, strengthen institutional readiness, and sustain quality health services.To bridge these gaps, national consultants will:- Assess equipment status: Document condition, calibration, maintenance, and repair needs across NPHL, NTCC, and peripheral HIV/TB labs in coordination with national programs.- Develop calibration & maintenance plan: Create a costed framework aligned with national guidelines, covering calibration, preventive/corrective maintenance, and AMC.- Review technical specifications: Ensure equipment specifications for calibration, maintenance, repair, and procurement align with national standards and operational needs.- Prepare cost estimates: Provide detailed estimates to support efficient planning and decision-making.Period of assignment/services (if applicable): 60 days spread over eight months Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.Any request for clarification must be sent in writing, or by standard electronic communication to the e-mail:
