IOM has replaced its SAP ERP solution with Oracle Cloud. At cutover not all data and documents were migrated from SAP to Oracle Cloud. As a result, there is a need to have the SAP information available in read-only mode for 7-10 years for operational and statutory purposes. In addition, to support retroactive payroll calculations IOM will maintain an additional SAP environment where retroactive payrolls are run. This is used to determine payroll adjustments that are manually applied to Oracle Cloud. This environment is required for 5 years. SAP is thus required to be retained for up to 10 years as a non-production legacy system to serve as an archive, provide read only data access, and to support the calculation of retroactive payroll adjustments. IOM currently pays maintenance corresponding to the following licenses.
