1. The United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has a requirement for the Establsihement of Long Term Agreement (LTA) for the for the provision of the Maintenance and Repair services of vehicles operated by UNIFIL on an “as and when required” basis, in Naqoura HQ, South Lebanon. 2. The Contract will be established for an initial period of one (1) year from the date of its signature with the possibility for extensions with an optional extension of two (2) additional periods of one (1) year each or part thereof, subject to continued requirement, extension of UNIFIL’s mandate, availability of funds. 3. UNIFIL seeks to establish a LTA with a contractor that is registered with the Chamber of Commerce in the field of vehicles maintenance activities, that can provide Technical Services on the listed equipment listed in the Appendix A in accordance with the equipment manufacturer procedures, standards and specifications, including the supply of Original Equipment Contractor (OEM) spare parts, lubricants and associated items to carry out the technical services. 4. All the related services on the vehicles will be performed on-site at the UNIFIL HQ premises, located at Naqoura, South Lebanon. 5. The contractor shall provide qualified vehicle technicians that should have a recognized vocational or technical certification in automotive mechanics or related field, to undertake the required services. 6. UNIFIL will provide spare parts for the maintenance and repair of the UNIFIL vehicles, however when and if required the contractor should have the ability to supply spare parts, to carry out routine maintenance and repairs on UNIFIL vehicles. 7. The service work shall include but not limited to the following services on repairs and maintenance of vehicles for each make and model of UNIFIL Vehicles: - Breakdown and Regular Maintenance; - Preventive Maintenance; - Corrective and Breakdown Repairs; - Tire and Wheel Services; - Undercarriage and Safety Inspections. 8. Vehicle make and models include but not limited to the following:- SUV Toyota and Nissan; - Pickup, Toyota Hilux; - Minibus Toyota and Nissan; - Van Toyota and Ford; - Bus Nissan; - armored 4x4, Toyota; - Truck - Renault; - Truck - IVECO; - Tuck - Mercedes; - Backhoe loader - FIAT - HITACHI; - Forklift - MANITOU, DOOSAN, TOYOTA, DAEWOO 9. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining valid permits and insurance required for operations in Lebanon. 10. UNIFIL will undertake a competitive solicitation exercise shortly and consider inviting those companies have expressed their interest and provided initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNIFIL’s requirement. 11.
