United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Syria, seeks the interest of qualified vendors and Service Providers to participate in an upcoming tender solicitation for the Rehabilitation of Water Network in Seif Al Dawla and and Bab Al Nayrab Neighborhoods Aleppo City, Syria. The project is aimed to contribute to the creation of safer living conditions for residents and returnees in the most affected locations in Aleppo following the earthquakes through improving the operational environment for the water supply sector in Aleppo city. The scope of works shall include but not limited to: • Soil or rock excavation, including all types of soil or rock, manually or using required machinery with a suitable width and diameter of each pipe. • Providing and installing and testing ductile cast iron pipes (with different) diameters and all needed accessories. • Providing and installing and testing ductile cast iron pipes (with different) diameters and all needed accessories. • Providing and installing gate valves with all necessary (with different) diameters. • Providing and spreading sand approx 10 cm thick under the pipe and approx 10 cm above the pipe. • Providing and spreading gravel with backfilling crushed stone approx 10 cm thick. • Restoration with asphalt mix along with the perfusion spray M.C.O in a ratio of approx 1.5kg/m3 after rolling with machinery and skilled labors, approx 7cm thick. The project will be implemented in 2 Lots: • Lot 1: Rehabilitation of water network with total length of approx 6,640 m in Seif Al-Dawla neighborhood. • Lot 2: Rehabilitation of water network with total length of approx 2,008 m in Bab Nayrab neighborhood. During solicitation stage, bidders may be allowed to bid for 1 or both Lots. Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. The complete detail of the requirement will be issued to bidders after this request for EOI is closed. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Submitting a reply to this REOI does not therefore automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for issuance of the solicitation documents. Only vendors who, in the UN's sole discretion, are deemed eligible and qualified, upon completion of an objective evaluation of the EOI submissions, may receive the final tender solicitation documents. UNON invites companies to express their interest by filling out the vendor response form in UNGM.
