The ILO seeks an independent evaluator to conduct the final evaluation of the project “Strengthening Resilience to Climate Change for the Elimination of Child Labour in Cocoa-Producing Areas in Ghana,” funded by the Japan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The evaluation will assess the project’s relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and sustainability. It will focus on interventions such as the establishment of Child Labour Free Zones (CLFZ), the introduction of biochar technology, and efforts to improve livelihoods and reduce child labour in cocoa-growing communities. The evaluator will apply a mixed-methods approach, including desk reviews, stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and analysis of monitoring data. The evaluation will generate lessons learned and recommendations to inform future programming and enhance accountability and visibility for development cooperation.
