United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Afghanistan, seeks the interest of qualified vendors and Service Providers to participate in an upcoming tender solicitation for the Construction of 6 RCC Building Classrooms at 6 different schools in various Districts of Herat Province, Afghanistan The classrooms shall be constructed in the following schools in their respective districts: 1) Abu Ali Sina Elementary School - Injil District 2) Urdo Khan High School - Injil District 3) Chap Qul Elementary School - Robat Sangi District 4) Darwish Ali Elementary School - Robat Sangi District 5) Lak Lak Khane Primary School - Robat Sangi District 6) Naswan Robat Sangi High School - Robat Sangi District The scope of works shall include but not limited to: - Civil works - which includes excavation, site clearance, stone masonry work, brick masonry work, RCC work, plastering, foundation works, flooring, roofing, painting, installation of doors and windows, blackboards etc - Electrical works -which includes installation of electrical fittings in the classrooms - Sanitation and Plumbing - which includes installation of gutters Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. The complete detail of the requirement will be issued to bidders after this request for EOI is closed. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Submitting a reply to this REOI does not therefore automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for issuance of the solicitation documents. Only vendors who, in the UN's sole discretion, are deemed eligible and qualified, upon completion of an objective evaluation of the EOI submissions, may receive the final tender solicitation documents.
