UNICEF has now issued a Request for Proposals in order to select a supplier for the provision of Rehabilitation works at 7 Shelters in educational facilities in Sumy and Kharkiv regions, Ukraine. UNICEF is rolling out response plan to affected population by the war in Ukraine by supporting the Ministry of Education, including rehabilitation works in shelters/ basements of educational services for children in selected municipalities as capacity building of the local educational providers to make them more sustainable during the war. The rehabilitation work will be focused on making the shelters/basements dry, and warm, with proper lighting, ventilation, and toilets. The schools and kindergartens have vast capacity and operate in an emergency environment as they have large number of professional educational workers that are ready to work. The project aims to arrange safer places for the educational staff, kids, and their families and give them the possibility to work during the shelling and air alarms. The target of this project is to rehabilitate 7 sites in Sumy and Kharkiv region This tender will be run through the UNICEF e-submissions system.
