The International Labour Organization (ILO) seeks an external collaborator (individual consultant) for the study on on Promoting and Strengthening Apprenticeships in Micro and Small Enterprises in India. The work will build on the ILO report “Good practices in apprenticeships in India: Challenges and opportunities” (2023), the ILO’s unpublished study “A study on promoting apprenticeships in micro and small enterprises” (2023), and the ILO’s initiative “Skills Innovation Challenge Call in India (“Challenge Call”)” conducted in 2023-24, while making an alignment with the Recommendation on Quality Apprenticeships (R208). The purpose of the assignment is to make most of the above-mentioned studies and the initiative and align them better with R208 as well as the evolving landscape of apprenticeships in India to inform policy recommendations and support building action plans in the country. The interested candidates are requested to submit a CV with a cover letter describing (i) the level of technical understanding on apprenticeships in India and (ii) practical work experience in this technical area, including submission of previously produced technical work (e.g. report, articles, presentations), if any, and (iii) proposed daily fee.
