Procurement of services for Tuberculosis and HIV Technical Assistance

ProcureProcess - WHO Lao People's Democratic Republic Non Governmental 2025-01-02 to 2025-01-24
Tuberculosis (TB) remains a public health threat in Lao PDR with WHO in 2023 estimating approximately 10,000 new and relapsed cases (132/100,000 incidence rate) and 1,100 TB deaths (11% TB case fatality ratio), while the TB treatment coverage rate reached 90% (9,124 TB cases notified). Regarding the HIV situation, in 2023 there was an estimated 17,972 persons living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV), among them 15,028 (84%) PLHIV were still alive, 11,697 (78%) were retained on ARV treatment and 9,447 (95%) were viral load suppressed. Hence, TB and HIV still remain among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in Lao PDR, especially among vulnerable and key populations. In line with the national policy to reach UHC in Lao PDR in 2025 and to End TB and HIV as part of the SDGs in 2030, it is very important to continue providing technical support in an integrated and dynamic manner for optimising TB and HIV programs interventions, particularly through the multi-stakeholder funded Health and Nutrition Services Access (HANSA 2) project 2024-2028. The service provider will provide comprehensive technical support for the NTC and CHAS through an integrated, health system strengthening approach. Please use Tender Notice No. 256510 as subject to all submission. Only successful candidates will be contacted. Please refer to attached RFP for details of the requirement.
