The objective of this assignment is to enhance the capacity of state and independent mass media representatives (journalists and bloggers) to report effectively on PVE issues and promotion of social cohesion in media considering sensitivity of the topics 170-2024-RFP-UNDP-SSC.The primary objectives of this assignment are as follows:a) Assess existing knowledge, capacities, and challenges related to reporting PVE issues among state and independent mass media representatives and journalists. b) Enhance the knowledge and understanding of target audience of the importance of media engagement and responsible reporting, strategic communication in PVE efforts, and the promotion of the ethical reporting practices when covering violent extremism – related issues.c) Provide support and mentoring to state and independent mass media representatives and journalists on application of the concepts learned in the training to their specific reporting contexts, assisting in the development of compelling narratives that challenge violent narratives and foster social cohesion.Please indicate whether you intend to submit a bid by creating a draft response without submitting directly in the system.
