The Recommendation on Education for Peace, Human Rights and Sustainable Development (2023 Recommendation), is the only global standard-setting instrument that lays out how education should be used to bring about lasting peace and foster human development through 14 guiding principles.   The Civil Society Organizations (CSO) Implementation Guide to the 2023 Recommendation is intended to be a user-friendly guide to support CSOs in better understanding the instrument and harnessing their role in helping implement the 2023 Recommendation in their communities. To be maximally responsive to CSO needs and build on their existing expertise and engagement in relevant areas of education, the development of the Guide will be co-created with the CSO, in close collaboration with UNESCO.
