Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) Country Office for Sri Lanka and the Maldives is seeking an individual consultant to undertake work as an External Collaborator (Consultant Trainer). Below is a summary of the work to be performed: • Design and deliver a participatory two-day Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) training programme for port workers and management representatives in the Maldives. • Develop and adapt practical training materials using existing ILO OSH resources and findings from a recent field assessment of working conditions in the port sector. • Facilitate a two-day training workshop (planned for end-September/early October 2026) covering the Occupational Safety and Health Act (Act No. 09/2023), workplace hazard identification, risk assessment, preventive measures, workplace improvement approaches, and worker-management cooperation on OSH. • Promote practical workplace safety improvements, including the establishment and effective functioning of bipartite OSH committees. • Prepare a brief completion report and participate in a post-training debriefing session with the ILO and the Maldives Trade Union Congress (MTUC). The assignment will be conducted in close coordination with ACTRAV, the ILO OSH Specialist, and MTUC.
