WHO is seeking for a qualified, eligible and competent proponent for the Technical Assistance for the Development of Strategic Plan for Chronic Kidney Disease. This initiative supports the Department of Health (DOH) in strengthening national efforts toward the prevention, early detection, and management of chronic kidney disease, aligned with national health priorities, Universal Health Care (UHC), and global best practices. CKD remains a significant public health concern in the Philippines due to increasing prevalence, high treatment costs, and health system constraints, including fragmented service delivery, limited access to early detection and preventive services, inadequate monitoring and evaluation systems, and insufficient coordination across levels of care. These challenges highlight the urgent need to develop a comprehensive, evidence-based Strategic Plan that will provide clear strategic direction, strengthen program implementation, enhance coordination among stakeholders, and support the scale-up of effective, equitable, and sustainable CKD prevention and management interventions nationwide.
