RFP-021/26 - Consultancy Firm to Support the production of Efficient Cook Stoves to promote clean cooking in Sierra LeoneThe overall objective of this assignment is to design and implement interventions for the production, distribution, and adoption of efficient cookstoves to promote clean cooking, reduce emissions, and improve health and livelihoods in Sierra Leone. Specific Objectives :  a) Improve public health outcomes by reducing exposure to indoor air pollution, particularly among women and children who are disproportionately affected by emissions from traditional cooking practices. b) Reduce environmental degradation and climate impacts by lowering demand for firewood and charcoal, thereby contributing to forest conservation, sustainable land management, and greenhouse gas emission reductions. c) Enhance access to clean and efficient energy for cooking by promoting the adoption and sustained use of improved cookstoves and alternative clean fuels, including energy-efficient biomass stoves, LPG, and other viable solutions.  d) Strengthen livelihoods and local economic development by creating income-generating opportunities, especially for women and youth, through the development of inclusive cookstove value chains, including production, distribution, and maintenance. e) Promote behavioural change and increased adoption of clean cooking solutions through targeted awareness, communication, and community engagement strategies that encourage safer and more sustainable cooking practices.  Please indicate whether you intend to submit a bid by creating a draft response without submitting directly in the system.
