Below is a summary of the work to be performed: This contract covers the preparation of a Social Protection Spotlight Brief on ensuring social security for digital platform workers. Building on previous work of the ILO (especially the preparations for the standard-setting discussion on decent work in the platform economy, and the policy resource package on extending social security to workers in the informal economy) and other organizations, the brief will set out key principles, as well as insights and lessons learnt from country experience. Please note that if travel is required for this assignment, the necessary travel costs will be covered by the ILO.
