Furthermore, UNDP will enter into a contract with the selected national consultant in UAH.Main objectives of the assignment: to strengthen the capacity of criminal justice professionals to work with survivors/victims and witnesses of war crimes, including CRSV, by coordinating psychologists professional services at the central and regional levels.Scope of work:Under the direct supervision of the Human Rights and Access to Justice Project Manager, the Consultant will be responsible for the following three main areas: Preparatory work: The Consultant will develop and implement checklists and guidelines for prosecutors on interviewing survivors, victims, and witnesses of CRSV, ensuring sensitive and respectful interactions. He/she will also support the Office of the Prosecutor General in preparing survivors for interviews and mitigating psychological trauma.Support during the process: The Consultant will provide psychological support throughout the interviews, working closely with prosecution officials to ensure survivors and witnesses are prepared, supported, and psychologically ready. This includes actively participating in interviews to minimize stress and ensure accurate testimonies.Follow-up: After interviews, the Consultant will conduct follow-up monitoring of OPGs work with survivors, preparing expert reports on the psychological interventions effectiveness and providing detailed recommendations to improve future work with CRSV survivors, ensuring a human-centered approach that avoids re-traumatization.
