The design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a biometric-enabled access control turnkey system at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) is a key activity under the Project for Strengthening Capacity of Border Control for Responding to Infectious Diseases in Southwest Asia. This initiative, implemented by IOM Sri Lanka, aims to enhance the operational capacity of airport authorities to manage and monitor access to secure areas efficiently while ensuring a seamless and secure passenger flow. The biometric system will strengthen border security measures, minimize unauthorized access, and align with international standards for safety and operational efficiency. This activity directly supports the project's overarching goal of bolstering border control mechanisms to address public health and security challenges effectively.
