The primary objective of this position paper is to articulate the perspective of trade unions on climate change policies within the framework of the ILO. Specifically, it aims to: Advocate for ILO Just Transition guidelines that protect workers' rights and promote green jobs and green enterprises in times of a just transition. Influence ILO as well as PIF discussions and policies on climate action. Ensure active union engagement in the NDCs that climate policies and strategies are aligned with decent work and social justice. Build networks with climate change actors and launch joint climate actions at national and subregional levels. Contribute to SDG13 and P&B 2.2.2 (social dialogue).
