UNESCO, with support from GIZ and in close collaboration with Zambia’s Ministry of Education, is currently implementing the EduTech for Zambia project aimed at strengthening digital competencies and advance technology-enabled learning in the country. The purpose of the individual consultancy is twofold. First, it will undertake a comprehensive desk mapping of existing digital education projects and programmes in Zambia to establish a clear evidence base on the current digital landscape, gaps, and best practices. Second, drawing on the findings of this mapping exercise, the consultancy will support the development of standards, procedures, and guidelines for ICT use in schools across the country. These guidelines will provide a coordinated and practical framework to guide teachers, improve digital pedagogy, ensure safe and equitable use of technology, and enable effective monitoring and sustainability of digital interventions, ultimately supporting the development of a future-ready education system in Zambia.
