UNDP and partners have initiated efforts to strengthen the WSEAOs in Sebha and Murzuq by piloting a referral mechanism, which will be designed to provide women with structured, confidential access to essential services across different sectors.At the same time, community-based women’s groups and cooperatives in these municipalities are doing groundbreaking work to promote local development, social cohesion, and women’s empowerment. However, they face challenges in sustainability, financial management, and visibility. Providing small grants to these groups, and linking their activities to the referral mechanism system, will ensure that women referred by the WSEAOs can access not only institutional services but also community-driven initiatives that enhance resilience, dignity, and empowerment.UNDP is seeking to engage a service provider on three integrated and complementary Outputs: Output 1: Implementation of a WSEAO Referral MechanismOutput 2: Allocation and management of grants to 3 women’s groups/cooperativesOutput 3.
