The United Nations Office at Nairobi (hereinafter referred to as UNON), on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) Syria Programme, is inviting interested vendors to submit an Expression of Interest for the anticipated solicitation exercise to establish a contract for rehabilitation of Al-Zein Garden in Salamiyeh City and Citadel Public Spaces in Hama City, Syria. The project targets Al-Zein Garden (central park in Salamiyeh) and Orontes River public spaces near Hama's Citadel in Syria. The project aims in restoring functionality amid post-conflict recovery. It addresses neglect, waste accumulation, and social cohesion needs for displaced and returning populations. The project involves restoring a bridge across the M5 highway in Ar-Rastan City. The bridge was identified as a priority under recovery plans for Homs Governorate to reconnect the city’s eastern and western parts, improve safety, and ensure safe, dignified access for pedestrians and wheelchair users. Its restoration will support recovery efforts, improve mobility, and promote social cohesion. The project's primary objective is to enhance open space use for health, social-economic, and environmental benefits via multi-functional upgrades. Scope of Work Key tasks at both sites include but not limited toi the folowing: a) Restoration of fencing, gates, and perimeter boundaries b) Repair and provision of park benches c) Repair and provision of solar lighting d) Restoration of green spaces and planting e) Repairs to pathways, curbing, and surfacing f) Provision of playground equipment for children g) Repairs to public WASH facilities Specific Requirements/Information IMPORTANT: Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for the submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify companies that are interested and eligible to participate in the solicitation process when issued. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Therefore, submitting a response to this Request for EOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Vendors deemed qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their EOI submissions will receive the final tender solicitation documents.
