The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations with more than 190 member countries. Since its inception, FAO has worked to improve nutrition, increase agricultural productivity, raise the standard of living in rural populations and contribute to global economic growth. Achieving food security for all is at the heart of FAO's efforts – to make sure people have regular access to enough high-quality food to lead active, healthy lives. As part of this effort, the FAO in collaboration with the Government of Ghana is organizing the 4th Africa region food systems meeting for National food systems convenors and stakeholders on 17 – 21 May 2026 in Accra, Ghana. In this regard, the FAO Regional Office for Africa wishes to identify a 4 or 5-Star UNDSS cleared hotel to provide conference package and accommodation services within Accra.
