Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: This assignment involves editing Better Work Annual Reports, producing written and audiovisual materials for digital use, and working consistently with the communications team to meet deadlines. The expectation is for the editor to be available via email, phone or online chat for relatively quick turnaround of materials, to accurately communicate time needed for a thorough copyedit, to be able to communicate questions and recommendations for changes, and to be familiar with language and grammar conventions and ideally also to be familiar with the ILO Style Guide. We also require that the editor/writer offer a time estimate for deliverables and monitor the days used against their contract. The deliverables include: • Copyediting Better Factories Cambodia and Better Work Viet Nam Annual Reports (8 days) • Producing 4 unique stories – produce four written articles (600-800 words) for the website, with accompanying social media posts. Two of the stories should have a compelling visual element – a short accompanying video for social media or a slide show. (3 days x 4 stories = 12 days) • Supporting Better Work country programmes with developmental editing and copyediting as needed. Our team fields requests as needed from country programmes for help developing, editing, and publishing stories. We would require the consultant’s support in this capacity.
