The WFP Health Insurance Branch seeks to purchase services of medical claims administration for its portfolio of four (4) self-insured medical plans, covering different employee categories from within its global workforce worldwide. The Medical Insurance schemes are briefly described below, providing the names of the plan and their respective number of lives covered. Further details on the coverage of the respective plans will be provided once the vendors are selected to participate to the formal Request for Proposal. - The BMIP / MMBP for international staff members wherever located, and General Service staff members at WFP Headquarters, as well as eligible retired staff and family members, covering approximately 4,500 lives. The MMBP is a voluntary top-up plan. - The MICS for National Professional Officers and General Service staff members in Regional Bureaux and Country Offices, as well as eligible retired staff members, and eligible family members, covering approximately 40,000 lives - The MCS/MCNS Medical Scheme: Short-term staff members, Consultants, other non-staff affiliates and eligible family members, covering approximately 3,600 lives. - MIDD Medical Scheme: Service Contract (SC) holders and Special Service Agreement (SSA) subscribers, and eligible family members, covering approximately 23,000 lives. Each plan prescribes different benefits and is applicable to specific types of employment contract. All plans offer worldwide coverage on a pay-and-claim basis. In addition, the possibility to avail of cashless access to quality healthcare in any country where WFP is present through a global network of direct billing arrangements is highly desirable. WFP invites eligible suppliers to express their interest in providing the requested services as follows: • Digital intake of member claims and provider claims via mobile phone app or similar digital solutions; • Ability to perform disbursements in multiple currencies and to engage in business relationships with healthcare providers located in any country or location; • Ability to read, write, speak, understand and operate in multiple languages, including but not limited to Arabic, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish; • Strong systems to detect, prevent, mitigate and address fraud, waste and abuse. The invitation is exclusively directed to claims administrators who meet all of the minimum requirements described below.
