Conduct Media Campaign on Hate speech, Disinformation and Incitement (HDMI) awareness .Sri Lanka has recently emerged from a severe economic crisis, with its impact felt across multiple communities, as well as economic, social, and political institutions. The spread of Hate speech, misinformation, disinformation, and incitement, (HDMI) both online and offline in this context adds another layer of concern. Women and girls, especially those in women-headed households, face heightened vulnerabilities as they navigate economic hardships while being bound by religious and cultural expectations. These dynamics disproportionately affect women and children, compounding their struggles during this period of economic recovery and political change.Against this backdrop, it is critical to ensure that conflict-sensitive, timely, and accurate knowledge is generated and disseminated to respond and counter hate speech, disinformation, misinformation and incitement (HDMI).
