1. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) requires to establish a Contract for Destruction of Light Armored Vehicles (LAVs) and Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs), Ballistic Protective Equipment (BPE), Security Equipment, Information and Communication Technology equipment at UNIFIL Headquarters, Naqoura, South Lebanon. 2- The initial period of the contract shall be one (1) year with an optional extension of two (2) additional periods of one year (1+1). The maximum contract duration shall be three (3) years. 3. UNIFIL will undertake a competitive solicitation exercise shortly and consider inviting those companies have expressed their interest and provided initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNIFIL’s requirement. 4. Please note, this is not an invitation for submission of a proposal. 5. By expressing interest, vendors must ensure that they are registered in UNGM or will be registering before participating in any possible future solicitation process. Those companies not registered with United Nations Global Marketplace (UMGM) cannot be included in the List of Invitees . Registration with UNGM (WWW.UNGM.ORG) is free of charge and mandatory for all companies wishing to participate in the UN solicitations. Specific Requirements/Information 1. Required is that companies responding to this EOI have UNGM registration identifying ‘UN Secretariat’ as a selected agency at minimum, Basic Level. 2. UN reserves the right to issue the final solicitation documents only to those prospective Vendors that respond to the EOI, and are deemed qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their submission, or to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this EOI does not automatically guarantee participation in the eventual RFQ neither does it assure that a specific tender exercise will be undertaken in due course. 3. Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of an Offer.The RFQ and any subsequent commitment to contract will be issued in accordance with UN rules and regulations.
