The International Labour Organization (ILO) is a United Nations agency committed to advancing social justice and internationally recognized human and labour rights. The ILO Cairo Office works with national partners in Egypt to eliminate child labour, in line with ILO Conventions Nos. 138 and 182. Each year, the ILO marks the World Day Against Child Labour (WDACL), a Global Day of Awareness and action. For 2025, the ILO Cairo Office Combating Child Labour projects: Combating the Worst Forms of Child Labour in Small Industries and Streets by Supporting the Implementation of the National Action Plan in Egypt project (Empowerment Through Education and Learning- ETEL Egypt) and Accelerate the Elimination of Child Labour, Improving Working Conditions and Empowering Families in Jasmine Supply Chain in Egypt (ACCEL Egypt- Harvesting the Future) are organizing a high-level public campaign and event to amplify messages against child labour and mobilize stakeholders at all levels
