Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: The ILO seeks an international consultant to serve as Lead Author for a major research initiative on measuring the economic contribution of cooperatives, a key component of the social and solidarity economy (SSE). The consultant will develop and validate methodologies and indicators that capture both traditional and cooperative-specific economic effects, drawing on international statistical standards and the ILO Guidelines on cooperative statistics. Work includes comprehensive research, designing measurement frameworks, preparing a draft and final analytical report, and tailoring approaches to diverse cooperative types. The consultant will engage closely with COPAC, the TWG-MECC, and other stakeholders, providing quarterly updates and presenting interim findings through at least five webinars. The assignment also includes contributing technical inputs to the forthcoming ILO Manual on Statistics of Cooperatives and assessing how the proposed methods may apply to other SSE entities. All tasks will be carried out remotely and require strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly. If you are interested, please express interest and follow the instructions attached to consult the detailed terms of reference and other relevant information in the ILO e-sourcing platform. Please submit your proposal before the specified deadline. Thank you.
